Fibreglass Blanket (Glass wool Rolls)
Fiberglass in Kenya is mainly used for thermal and sound insulation applications. It normally has temperature rating of 538oC and the densities range from 16kg/m3 to 50kg/m3. Our fiberglass insulation rolls are suitable for various applications such as steam pipe cladding, roof insulation, wall sound insulation, insulation of tanks, shipping containers and ovens.
Ceramic Fibre Blankets
Ceramic fiber blanket is manufactured from high-temperature synthetic minerals that are able to withstand temperatures of 1260oC. It is lightweight and asbestos-free (food grade), making it suitable to be used in lots of industries; including food industries.

Rockwoll blankets ( Mineral Wool)
Rockwool is a mineral fiber material that has excellent thermal and sound insulation properties. It comes in various densities for various applications and suitable for temperatures up to 650oC and a k-value of 0.034 W/mK. In addition, It’s non-combustible making it suitable for fire protection applications. The major users of our rock wool in Kenya includes: Boiler insulation, steam systems, sound insulation (studios, night clubs, boardrooms and residential places).
Polythylene Foam Insulation
The primary use for polyethylene foam in Kenya is for roof insulation/ roof sisalation. It’s flexible and lightweight and requires no special handling on installation. Polyethylene foam on the roof stops the radiated heat from entering the roof and also the heat from the room escaping easily, making the room cool during the day and warm during the night.
Polyethylene foam supplied by Specialized Industrial Products & Equipment Ltd has widths of 1.9m and lengths of 50m making it easier to install. The various thicknesses available for roof insulation include 2mm, 3mm, 10mm, and 20mm.
Calcium Silicate Boards
The main applications of calcium silicate board in Kenya include; as underlay boards on fire places, ceilings, in construction of incinerators, boiler houses, pizza oven construction and other applications that need fire protection.
Calcium silicate boards are light-weight, high strength and low thermal conductive material. They are asbestos-free and are able to with withstand high temperatures, up to 1000oC as well as continuous heating.
Calcium silicate boards are not affected by moisture or sunlight. They are fungal-proof and possess sound absorption qualities.
Polystrene Foam Insulation
Polystyrene (styrofoam) is a rigid lightweight closed cell foam used for both thermal and sound insulation. It’s popular as a filler in the construction industry, used on expansion joints and personalized projects. It’s resistant to water vapour, mildew or rotting.
At Olinc Industrial Products & Equipment Ltd we sell Styrofoam in sheets, distinct shapes as well as polystyrene beads. The standard sizes of Styrofoam sheets in Kenya include 1.2m long x 1.2m wide, and 2.4m long x 1.2m wide. The thicknesses include 20mm, 25mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 150mm.
